AKA, Often the Only One with Common Sense in the Entire Show.

Iris West (born c. 1989) is a journalist for the Central City Picture News, a former waitress at CC Jitters, and a psychology graduate student. Iris is also the daughter of Joe and the late Francine West, the older sister of Wally West, and the best friend of Barry Allen, for whom she has romantic feelings. Iris is also the former fiancée of the late Eddie Thawne.

Lots of Flash fans hate Iris for some reason. I can't see why. She's nice, smart, has common sense (like most of the time, but no one else on the show does much better), adorable, wonderful. She's clearly the best person for Barry in my opinion, she could do better and has developed as a character.

Actual fans of the show think Caitlin and Barry are a better ship, which I don't understand. Like why? One theory is that they're racist and can't deal with the main love interest being black. It wouldn't surprise me, it's a comic book fandom. I went there.
They will always end up together. Suck it.

Actual ray of sunshine.

She's basically a badass journalist with a heart of gold and the type of character I don't usually like. But she grew on me. She's just great.
