The Trope Series #3

Instalove

This is possibly the most annoying of all the tropes and is possibly the most common. Has anyone ever truly fallen in love with someone they just met?

Wednesday 14 September 2016

The Trope Series #2

Arsehole with Feelings

Could also count as Treat 'em Mean, Keep 'em Keen

This is overly used for male love interests in YA books. Like, so over used. The only example I can think of is Jace Herondale from The Mortal Instruments, but that's because I'm lazy. Do I hate this trope? Sometimes.

The Tropes Series #1

Bitchy Bimbo Who Hates the Main Character for Some Reason

I've complained about this in books before. Probably the only examples, currently, is when I reviewed Splintered and Dorothy Must Die. I also praised Wicked Lovely for not having this trope.

Satan's Personal Posts- 10: More Blog Updates

Considering this is sort of a book blog- It was meant to be originally, but I don't stick to plans v. well- I don't post much about books, other than reviews or at all. So, I thought, why not post something that's technically about books without reading more because I'm a slow reader.

Satan's Personal Posts-9: Results Day

I know this is late, but I just haven't had the effort to write about it. But now I'm doing it, so that's something. Not like it's almost been a week or anything like...

Satan's Personal Posts-7: Satan might do Sims Challenges

Something I've wanted to do for a long time is challenges on the Sims, specifically the Sims 3 because I prefer it in many ways to the Sims 4 and, like the saddo I am, I have all the expansion packs (and some stuff packs) so it creates more interesting situations.

Satan's Personal Posts- 6: I'm Too Close to Being an Adult for my Liking

Satan's Personal Posts- 5: I HATE Peta

Peta tried to test me on Twitter.
For anyone who doesn't know, I really hate Peta. They're meant to be an animal charity, but they do a piss poor job of actually looking after any animals.

Satan's Personal Posts- 2: A Quick Notice

All the reviews that I've posted up to this point had already been posted on my Goodreads account (the oldest being Fallen and the newest being Wicked), and weren't posted here in any particular order. They aren't the most coherent or detailed/ critical reviews and I hope to improve as I go along. I may also edit old reviews as I hopefully begin to have a theme/ develop a style for my reviews.

Hopefully, my reviews so far haven't been horrible to read and you, unfortunate reader, will follow me as I ramble my pointless views on literature and maybe other topics.

In the future, I plan on having other types of posts, such as reviews on other subjects or sharing of things I enjoy and think you might do too.

Byesy-Bye,
                   Satan.

Satan's Personal Posts- 1: New Beginnings

As this is the first post for my new blog, I feel like I should introduce myself and explain a few things.

I'm Phoebe, AKA Satan, a teenager from the North (of England) who likes to read and complain. Satan being a nickname from my friends

After finding out that a friend of mine ran a successful book review blog and had done for at least a year with no intention of telling her friends  and the fact that I'd finished my GCSE's, I decided that I should try. I spend a lot of time on my laptop anyway, so it's not like I'm changing my routine much. *insert pained laughter*

So, in this blog I will post book reviews (that can also be found here), personal views/ rants and anything I feel might interest those who accidentally find this blog because that's the only way people will find this blog. A forewarning that posts will include spoilers, sarcasm, swearing and possibly too many question marks.
